This topic is for those who wish to post any names, be they first names, surnames, or complete character names. Do not post the names here if you do not wish for them to be used in works other than your own! Also, feel free to check out the world/cities names topic for all your worldly name needs. Please use the format as shown in the example models below. Note that examples are the origional creations of authors which have already published works with these particular names, and they should not be used unless given special permission from the correct sources.
Examples:
Lucy Pevancy: (Full name)
Ariel: (Female first name)
Erik: (Male first name)
Cullen: (Surname)
Now, I know there are a lot of name generators out there, but many of them do not create names that are as good as the ones the human mind can think of. This topic is for those who do not wish to deal with the odd names produced by name generators, or are just too lazy to look, or simply are curious to see what names people can come up with.
Happy name hunting!

Also, don't forget to check out my topic, entitled "Creative world/city names"! Enjoy!
the way i look at names for the characters i have in my current writing, the diary of a four pawed community is by looking at the origin of the character, be they polar bear, lion or whatever. then I will look for first names and possible surnames, though two first names can be used also. i named a polar bear cub Ekaterina, meaning pure, and adsila meaning blossom. Ekaterina came from russian and Adsila was native american as her mama was a grizzly bear and sire a polar bear. as these names are not made up by myself as such, of course anyone can use them.
Hm. Character names I've created for RPG's:
Samuel (Sam) Cantelli
Xander Sagato
Xavier Whitefire
K'Mrasha
Tavon Farris
Mathias Elden
There've been a couple others but those are the ones I remember off the top of my head. I also keep a names file going with names I like that I've seen.
When I'm trying to come up with names, I usually try to find ones that mean something or have some significants. I love names, so I also keep a file of names that I like.
Ah, well here's a cool thing, called copy paste! LOL! You guys can share your names that you have all locked away, yes? *grin*. Here are a couple of names for your enjoyment/use.
